Our traditional old fashioned Lye soap is similar to the way your grandparents made it. It is an unscented bar made with 100% lard. Lard produces a thick, creamy lather. This bar is unscented.
Each bar weighs approximately 5 oz or more.

All of our products are hand poured in small batches. This allows us to closely monitor the quality of our products. While our products may vary slightly in color or design from batch to batch, the quality, formulation, and ingredients remain the same, unless otherwise noted.
The Big Fat Lye is made with lard, natural spring water, and sodium hydroxide.
Handcrafted soap lasts longer when it is allowed to dry between uses. Use a soap dish that drains and keep soap out of the direct stream of water.
